Prayer
to St Padre
Pio
Feast Day: 23rd September
St Padre Pio,
we give thanks to God for the exceptional gifts bestowed on you
in your life.
As a Capuchin Franciscan friar you were called to close union with
Christ crucified and with the Virgin Mother of God, in whom you
invited people to place their entire confidence. You read
people's hearts. You bore the imprints of the wounds of Christ's
passion. You answered the needs of the sick with the gift
of healing. You inspired the world with a love of the Eucharist
and an appreciation of the Sacrament of reconciliation. We
pray that, through your intercession, we may be inspired to love
and serve God in our neighbour.
St Padre Pio, bring peace to our country, reunite families, bring
back to God those who have lost their way. Grant us all the
grace of perseverance. Bring all God's people to heaven.
Pray for us, O St Padre Pio, that we may be made worthy of the promises
of Christ. Amen

May He show you His face and have mercy on you
May He look upon you and give you peace
May the Lord grant you His great blessing

Prayer
to St Joseph
Feast Day: 1st May
O faithful
and prudent Servant, watch over our weakness and our inexperience,
obtain for us that prudence which reminds us of our end, which directs
our paths and which protects us from every danger. Amen

Memorare
Remember
O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known, that anyone
who fled to your protection, implored your assistance, or sought your
intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence,
we fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, our Mother. To you we
come, before you we kneel, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of
the Word Incarnate, despise not our petitions but in your mercy, hear
and answer them. Amen. |
St
Martin de Porres
Feast
Day: 3rd November
To
you Saint Martin de Porres we prayerfully lift up our hearts filled
with serene confidence and devotion. Mindful of your unbounded and
helpful charity to all levels of society and also of your meekness
and humility of heart, we offer our petitions to you. Pour out upon
our families the precious gifts of your solicitous and generous
intercession; show to the people of every race and every color the
paths of unity and of justice; implore from our Father in heaven
the coming of his kingdom, so that through mutual benevolence in
God we may increase the fruits of grace and merit the rewards of
eternal life. Amen.

Prayer
to St Patrick
Feast
Day: 17th March
God our Father,
you sent Saint Patrick to preach your glory to the people of Ireland.
By the help of his prayers, may all Christians proclaim your love
to all men. Grant this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for
ever and ever

Prayer
to St. Michael
Feast Day: 29th September
St.
Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle; be our protection against
the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly
pray, and do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of
God, thrust into hell, Satan and all the evil spirits, who prowl about
the world, seeking the ruin of souls. Amen. |
Oh,
the love of my Lord is the essence
Of all that I love here on earth
All the beauty I see, you have given to me
And your giving is gentle as silence
Every day, every hour, every moment
Has been blessed by the strength of your love
At the turn of each tide, you are there by my side
And your touch is as gentle as silence
There've been times when I've turned from your presence
And I've walked other paths, other ways
But I've called on your name, in the dark of my shame
And your mercy was gentle as silence
|
I
said a prayer for you today
And know God must have heard.
I felt the answer in my heart
Although He spoke no word!
I didn't ask for wealth or fame
(I knew you wouldn't mind)
I asked Him to send treasures
Of a far more lasting kind!
I asked that He'd be near you
At the start of each new day;
To grant you health and blessings
And friends to share your way!
I asked for happiness for you
In all things great and small
But it was for His loving care
I prayed the most of all!

O
Angel of God, my Guardian Dear To whom God's Love commits me here
Ever this day, be at my side
To Light and Guard, to Rule and Guide, Amen
